Jim Richards (Winfield) blasts off from the 1995 starting grid as Craig Lowndes (Mobil), Larry Perkins (Castrol) and Wayne Gardner (Coca Cola) give chase. It would in fact be Gardner who would exit Hell Corner in first place, the first driver to do so from the second row of the grid.Perkins and Lowndes would briefly touch sending Perkins tyre flat and setting up his heroic charge from last to first place by race end.
